Wind energy is one of the most attractive sources of renewable enerm (one reason being it is one of the most proven of all sustainable energy technologies, second only to hydropower). It is not surprising, therefore, that the number of on-and offshore wind farms is rising. Technology risks for new and unproven turbines, ground and/or sea conditions and inclement weather are still important considerations.
