CAD gets IT money

Over the next three years £.6 million is to be spent to increase awareness of CAD/CAM in UK industry. Minister for Information Technology Kenneth Baker wants to close what he sees as a widening gap between UK and foreign manufacturing industries in uptake of new technology. He proposes to hold one-day seminars for managing directors using case study material from companies with practical experience.
