Russia: Gabriel -plastics masterbatch
Gabriel Chemie (of Gumpoldskirchen, Austria) will open a new plastics masterbatch plant on the outskirts of Moscow during April 2007. Dipl Ing Rodolfo Santa Olalla (Chief Executive of Gabriel) commented: "The Russian plastics market has always been important to us, but its importance has rapidly increased in parallel with the economic boom in that region. As a privately owned group, our independence allows for the highest levels of customer focus and flexibility. This is the spirit in which our expansion policy to build a global presence will continue."
Gabriel currently has an annual turnover in excess of €70 M and it has 350 employees, with fully-owned operations in Austria, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Hungary and the Czech Republic, plus a joint venture in Germany.
