✦ Synopsis
Pressure drop and void fraction measurement were carried out for the two-phase cocurrent flow of gas and liquid in a helical coil of 12.5 mm i.d. and 665 mm coil dia. The systems used were airwater, air-corn-sugar-water solution, air-glycerol-water solution and air-butanol-water solution. The results were comoared with the Lockhart-Martinelli correlation, Dukler's correlation and Hughmark's correlation:
