✦ Synopsis
Abstract
Two new sesquiterpene lactones, namely 8‐O‐methylsenecioylaustricin (1) and epi‐8__α__‐angeloyloxycichoralexin (2), as well as a new triterpene glycoside (taraxasterol‐3‐O‐β‐D‐glucoside, 3), together with the three known sesquiterpene lactones lactucin (4), lactucopicrin (5), and 11__β__,13‐dihydrolactucin (6), were isolated from the stems of Cichorium glandulosum Boiss. et Huet. The chemical structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic methods.
