ALTIIOUGH all the leading text-books on surgery mention impaction of gall-stones as one of the causes of intestinal obstruction, i t must be admitted that it is a rare condition. Two cases have recently occurred a t King's College Hospital within six weeks of each other, but during the past ten years no such case was seen a t this hospital.
