Twinning in zirconium may, or may not occur by a dislocation mechanism. Two of the observed twinning modes can be explained by the use of relatively simple dislocation models. For a third mode, however, the model is very complex.

ZIRCONIUM Le maclage dans le zirconium peut avoir lieu ou ne avoir lieu par un m6canisme de dislocations. Deux des modes de maclage observes peuvent 6tre examines au moyen de modeles relativement simple8 de dislocations. Cependant pour un troisieme mode, le mod& est tres complexe. ZWILLINGSBILDUNG IN ZIRKON Zwillinge konnen sich in Zirkon moglicherweisc durch einen Versetzungsmechanismus bilden. Zwei der beobachteten Bildungsarten von Zwillingen konnen mit Hilfe eines verh&ltnism&Dig einfachen Versetzungsmodells erkliirt werden. Fur eine dritte Bildungsart ist das Model1 jedoch sehr komplisiert.
