โฆ Synopsis
The present theoretical study investigates turbulent film boiling on a tube immersed in the stagnant liquid with saturated temperature. It begins by assuming the case of a variable temperature surface. The non-linear absolute viscosity, thermal conductivity and eddy diffusivity in the vapor film are all included in the present analysis. Furthermore, the radiation effects, temperature ratio and Grashof number are also discussed. The result shows under the free convection film boiling with higher Rayleigh values, the turbulent film boiling can get a better heat transfer efficiency than the laminar one. Finally, a comparison between the results of the present study and those reported in previous theoretical and experimental studies is provided. It is found that a good agreement exists between the two sets of results.
