## Abstract Spectra and cospectra of turbulence in the constant‐flux surface layer of the atmosphere are studied with measurements made by rapid response propeller anemometers and a bead thermistor. The results are described in comparison with those obtained at other sites.

A model for the logarithmic spectra of velocity in the stable boundary layer is developed using the concept of local scaling. The resulting expressions for peak wavelength are in agreement with empirical data from Minnesota 1973. 7 Partially financed by CAPES and FINEP.
