Profiles of weak Fraunhofer lines have been recorded photoelectrically in both the faculae and the undisturbed photosphere. The entrance slit of the double-pass spectrograph corresponded to 1" • 20" on the solar disk. Turbulent velocities were found by comparing half-widths of the observed profiles
