C. Tungsten Crystals for Light Bulbs.--(lnd. and Eng. Chem., News Edition, x2,264.) The Osram Co. in Prague, Czechoslovakia, has installed a process for the manufacture of recrystallized tungsten wire. The wire is continually drawn over a zone of above 2000 Β° C. by a velocity exceeding that of the crystal growth. The metal is brought to a white heat for a brief period and the wire is continually transformed into one long crystal. C.
