✦ Synopsis
Second harmonic
and two-photon fluorescence excitation profiles are presented for 2w = or (transverse a-exciton frequency), and under conditions of near perfect index-matching. Tuned (frequency) Maker fringing in SHG profiles is reported for the first time. The conditions under which the semiclassical non-linear susceptibility theory can account for the fringing and excitation profiles are defined.
