Four morphologically similar species of insectivorous bats in the genus Lasiurus (Chiroptera: Vespertilionidae) regularly occur in the American Southern Cone. Three of them (Lasiurus cinereus, L. blossevillii and L. ega) are sympatric over many regions, whereas the remaining species (L. varius, clos
