## Abstract Four lupane pentacyclic triterpenes were isolated from the hexane extract of stems and branches of __Maytenus imbricata__ Mart. __ex__ Reissek: 3‐oxolup‐20(30)‐en‐29‐al (**1**), 30‐hydroxylup‐20(29)‐en‐3‐one (**2**), (11__α__)‐11‐hydroxylup‐20(29)‐en‐3‐one (**3**), and (3__β__)‐lup‐20(3
