## Abstract The six new triterpene saponins **1**–**6** with a 21,23‐lactone skeleton were isolated from the MeOH extract of the aerial parts of __Gynostemma pentaphyllum.__ Their structures were elucidated by 1D‐ and 2D‐NMR‐spectra interpretation as well as by chemical degradation.
