✦ Synopsis


The asymmetric unit of the title compound, (C 3 N 2 H 12 ) 3 -[V 10 O 28 ]Á5.5H 2 O, contains half each of two decavanadate ions, which lie on crystallographic inversion centres, two whole and two halves of doubly protonated propane-1,3-diammonium ions, and five and a half uncoordinated water molecules. The crystal structure of this compound shows an interesting threedimensional supramolecular structure of hydrogen bonds.
