✦ Synopsis
Trisilylamines (1), (2), (3), (Me 3 Si) 3 N [Me 2 (HCyC)Si] 3 N [ M e 2 (HCyC)Si] 2 NSiMe 2 Br (4) and (5) were studied by 13C, 15N and 29Si NMR spectroscopy. The [Me 2 (Br)Si] 2 NSiMe 2 CyCH [Me 2 (Br)Si]
3 N trends in their chemical shifts, in particular of d15N, coupling constants 1J(29Si, 13C) and 1J(29Si, 15N) and isotopeinduced chemical shifts 1*28@29Si(15N) point towards a di †erent bonding situation in 5 to that in 1È4. It can be assumed that SiÈBrÈSi bridging in 5 leads to a Ñuxional structure in which the bromine atoms, and in turn a methyl group and the nitrogen atom, occupy pseudo-axial positions in the distorted trigonal planar surroundings of the silicon atom.
