✦ Synopsis

The title compound, C 9 H 3 F 18 O 4 P, was synthesized by condensation of sodium hexafluoroisopropanolate and phosphoryl chloride. The P atom is in a distorted tetrahedral environment. The molecules are stabilized by weak OÁ Á ÁH and FÁ Á ÁH hydrogen-bond interactions as well as FÁ Á ÁF interactions.
