✦ Synopsis

The triplet Tr states in diphenylbutadiene and diphenylhexatriene single crystals have been investigated by delayed fluorescence detected magnetic resonance at zero-field between 1.2 and 2.1 K and T> 30 K. The signals are identified as being due to metastable triplet excitons and to X-traps. Their 1 D 1 and 1 E 1 values are discussed with respect to delocalization of the triplet spins.
