An expression for the isothermal pressure derivative of the structure factor, S(q), has been obtied in the p -L/3 model under the mean spherical model approximation. The calculated values for liquid rubidium at'333 K and 0.43 kba.r are in good agreement wii the experimeni~ observations. Recently
Bridge functions and triplet potentials of mean force are calculated for the Lennard-Jones fluid using the binodal chain closure approximation. Inclusion of the former in the hypernetted-chain closure for the pair correlation functions leads to substantially improved values for the virial pressure.
