✦ Synopsis
Abstract
The synthesis of the azide of 2,4‐diphenyl‐s‐triazine‐6‐carboxylic acid is described. Decomposition of this azide yields a product in which 2,4‐diphenyl‐s‐triazine‐6‐isocyanate has been spectroscopically detected. This very reactive isocyanate is the first example of a compound in which an isocyanate group is directly bound to a s‐triazine ring.
