The catalytic wet oxidation process developed by Osaka Gas Co., Ltd. is designed to efficiently decompose the highly concentrated pollutantsnitrogen compounds including ammonia, COD (chemical oxygen demand) and BOD (biochemical oxygen demand) components, etc. -contained in wastewater and sludge. This paper will discuss the results of treating industrial wastewater, sludge and other waste substances with this process.
