Application of reaction-produced g-rays to diagnostics of energetic particles in burning plasmas is analyzed. Particularly, we focus on 0.981 MeV g-rays emitted in the 6 Liðt; p 1 gÞ 8 Li nuclear reaction solely governed in the plasmas by energetic tritons. It is shown that these g quanta can serve
