✦ Synopsis
The thermal conductivity of helium measured in the temperature range400 to 2300 K is employed to establish a reslistic interaction potential for it. This information together with kinetic theory enables the prediction of viscosity and diffusion coefficients.
The thermal conductivity of 99.9999% pure helium, supplied by Matheson Gas Products, is measured in the temperature range 400-2300 K at 2 pressure of 4'7.0 cm of mercury by the conductivity column method [ I,?] _ 12 mil tungsten wires of length 46.24 cm and 86.02 cm mounted in the columns are used in both the modes of sir.gle and differential arrangements.
