โœฆ Synopsis

The design engineer has in the past met with some scarcity of data on the transport properties of cryogenic liquids; even for the simplest calculations he has had to resort to crude extrapolations and unreliable estimates. In this paper three transport properties are thoroughly investigated for nine of the commonest cryogenic liquids

JOULE-THOMSON expansion is used widely for refrigeration and for liquefaction of gases; under certain conditions, however, this type of expansion may produce heating rather than cooling. Determination of these conditions is important, therefore, in the design of cryogenic processes. At a certain tem
