✦ Synopsis
The density. viscosily. and electrical conductivity of concentrated Nal in N-methyl propionamlde solutions have been measured in the temperature range 25-80°C. The plots of the partial molar volumes ~1s the salt concenrration show a minimum at -1.2 m where a value close to rhe molecular volume of the pure salt 1s found. The experimental conductivity and viscosity data have been analyzed with the correct Arrhenius cquatmn used in the treatment of transport in glass-forming liquids. At each concentration the glass-transitlon temperatures deduced from conductivity and viscosity are close value. Viscosity data were also treated following a model derived for the viscosity of suspensions of rigid spheres.
The results show a salvation number of the cations in the concentrated solutions equal to 1.6.
