✦ Synopsis

In strongly correlated electron systems electron-electron interactions lead to the formation of the density of states peaks and to enhanced scattering at certain energies in the vicinity of the Fermi level E,. These sharp features are pinned with respect to E,, if proper conditions are fulfilled. The pinning makes it possible to reproduce the systematic variation of temperature dependences of resistivity, the Seebeck coefficient S(T), Hall concentration and magnetic susceptibility, caused by the change of composition on the metallic side of the metal-insulator transition in La,_rSrXCuO, and other high-TC oxides.
