## Abstract An equivalent circuit model was used to analyze a symmetrical complementary metamaterial for resonant filtering characteristic at terahertz frequencies. Using terahertz time‐domain spectroscopy system, we examined the transmittance spectra for the metamaterial structure. The experimenta
