✦ Synopsis

Abstract

Intensity modulated transmissive fiber optical displacement sensor is introduced and its performance is investigated. In the experiments, the relative error is 4% and the linearity is higher than 99.2% with source light intensity stable. The relative error is 0.2% with the source light intensity changed at a certainly frequency. Β© 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract A simple fiber optic displacement sensor based on intensity modulation technique is demonstrated using a bundle multimode plastic fiber as a probe. The sensor consists of a light source, a probe, and photodiode detector. The sensor is capable of measuring displacements of mirror ranging

The experiments have been carried out which are in good agreement with the theoretical results. These configurations can be used for various broadband and dual-band applications, es

## Abstract The performance of the fiber‐optic displacement sensor with beam‐through detection technique is investigated. The effects of lateral and axial displacements on the detected output voltage are investigated for various core's diameters of the sensor. The highest sensitivity is obtained at

## Abstract A new fiber‐optic liquid‐level sensor (LLS) for continuous monitoring of the liquid level is proposed using a fiber‐optic displacement sensor (FODS). A float is used to measure the level of liquid in the tank and it is connected to the FODS probe to convert the variation of the liquid l
