✦ Synopsis
Translational energy distributions of H(n = 4) produced io e-S%& and e-GeH, collisions have been obtained by differentiating the Doppler profile of Balmer Ho emission Line. Results are similar for both molecules in contrast with CHJ. Two energy components centered at about 0.4 eV (respectively 0.3 eV) and 2.5 eV (respectively 2.0 eV) are attributed to diiferent dissociative escitation processes of the parent molecule SiH4 (respectively GeIG). A third broad component at higher energy is also evidenced. I_ introduction
