The effects of charging in lattice superconductors are investigated using quantum Monte Carlo methods. For relatively small values of the ratio of charging to Josephson energies, a, the system undergoes a first-order transition from a superconducting to a new coherent state dominated by quantum fluctuations. For larger values of a we present strong evidence which indicates that these systems undergo a reentrant transition, i.e. a normal-superconducting-normal transition at finite temperature.
