Transition-Metal-Free: A Highly Efficient Catalytic Aerobic Alcohol Oxidation Process.
-The title reaction is carried out under air using a catalyst consisting of TEMPO, Br 2 and, NaNO 2 . Under optimal reaction conditions, a wide range of alcohols can be converted into their corresponding carbonyl compounds with high selectivities.
