The reactions of iron salts FeX, o< = Cl, Br, I) and Fe Yz l 6Ha 0 (Y = BF,, PF,) with the secondary phosphines HPRz (R, = (CH,)Ph, (GH, )Ph, (G-Hs),) in alcohol solution have been investigated. The five-coordinate complexes [FeX(HPR2j, ] Y and [Fe-(HPRz)J Yz have been isolated and characterised by
