## Abstract Novel mixed matrix membranes were prepared by incorporating ZSM‐5 zeolite into chitosan polymer for the pervaporative separation of dimethyl carbonate (DMC) from methanol. These membranes were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (
