We have extended the range of electron mobility mcasuremcnts in dense helium gas at 77.3'K to pressures of 40 atm and at 160ยฐK to 80 atm. Coexisting high and low mobility branches were found at both temperatures, mrrespondinp, we believe, to free electron and "bubble" states.

The energy V, of conduction electrons in helium gas was measured by photoinjection up to a density of 3.6X 102' atoms/cm' and analysed together with results by Broomall, Johnson and Onn obtained for higher densities, including the liquid phase. The data could be well approximated by the model of Spr
