## Abstract Experiments are reported in which a mixed population of organisms was continuous cultured on phenol in a 1β to 2βliter wellβmixed vessel. Steady state phenol concentrations were measured for a range of inlet concentrations from 100 to 800 mg/liter at various dilution rates. These result
