Das zweite Produkt war im wesentlichen I , I-Dimethyl-2-isopropyliden-indan (8) (2,2 mg) .
NMR.: 7,04 (schmales M ; vier aromatische H), 3,58 ( M ; zwei H an C-3), 1,86 ( T ; 1 X 2 Hz; =< 1,43 (S; zwei CH, an C-1). Dieverbindung enthielt noch ca. 20% 2-Isopropyl-3,3-dimethyl-inden (im NMR. S des Vinylprotons bei 6,61 ppni und S der Methylgruppen an C-3 bei 1,57 ppm).
