โฆ Synopsis
This paper is concerned with the problem of tracking modelled objects from a time-ordered sequence of binocular images. Objects of interest are those on which four typical points can be consistently distinguished.
The basic assumption is that we are given a model of the structure of these four points. The model is described in terms of the internal orientation of the structure and the distance between each pair of its points. This study addresses the problem of uniqueness of position of a binocularly viewed object.

Some years ago a new tracker, the Condensation algorithm, came to be known in the computer vision community. It describes a stochastic approach that has neither restrictions on the system and measurement models used nor on the distributions of the error sources, but it cannot track an arbitrary chan
In this paper, we propose a model-based tracking algorithm which can extract trajectory information of a target object by detecting and tracking a moving object from a sequence of images. The algorithm constructs a model from the detected moving object and match the model with successive image frame
This paper describes a real-time tracking system which detects an object entering the field of view of a camera and executes tracking of the detected object by controlling a servo device in such a way that a target always lies at the center of an image frame. This paper proposes a new method of extracting and tracking a non-rigid object moving against a cluttered background while allowing camera movement. For object extraction we first detect an object using watershed segmentation technique and then extract its contour points by approximating the boundar
