During screening ofFusarium Lk. ex Fr. strains for antibiotic production, we observed a peculiar conidial swelling of Penicillium digitatum Sacc. strain NRRL 1202 when this sensitive fungus was grown in the presence of methanol extracts of Fusarium roseum Lk. 'Acuminatum' strain NRRL 6227 cultures.
