Synthese als Beweis: Die erste asymmetrische Totalsynthese des marinen tetracyclischen Oxasqualenoids (+)‐Omaezakianol umfasst eine konvergente Olefin‐Kreuzmetathese zwischen einem Monotetrahydrofuran‐Fragment und einem Triepoxyalken sowie eine Oxacyclisierungskaskade eines Triepoxyalkohols zum Aufbau von drei Etherringen. Die Totalsynthese bestätigte die abgebildete absolute Konfiguration von (+)‐Omaezakianol.magnified image
