✦ Synopsis
An exact analytical solution is derived for the
variance of the timing jitter of a dispersion-managed soliton in
the presence of synchronous amplitude modulators and filters. We
show that, for a given position of these control elements, a total
suppression of the timing jitter is possible, which will permit
unlimited error free transmission distances of DM solitons.
