We compute the genus class group of a torsion-free module over a reduced Witt ring of finite stability index. This is applied to modules locally isomorphic to odd degree extensions of formally real fields.

For a subgroup C of order p of a finite group G, we find the summand M of the G 2 Ε½ . p -adic permutation module ind Z such that H G, M /0, and determine when C p M is the Scott module. This is applied to the study of torsion-free space groups.
