A cryostat has been constructed for measurements between 3 K and 7.5 K, taking advantage of the large specific heat of 4He under pressure to give a typical temperature stability of 5:3 x 10 -5 I~ Following the development of this apparatus measurements can be made at temperatures > 4.2 K with high temperature stability.
