✦ Synopsis

How to plan and prepare data for analysis remains an under-investigated area. Four useful tools for planning intelligence projects and preparing results for analysis are laid out in this article: (1) Data Cell Screen, (2) Data Clarification, (3) Data Overlapping, and (4) Data Verification. Industry examples of the use of these tools are provided. It is demonstrated how these tools can be used to provide a basis for discussing the project and their results with clients-setting the stage for the rest of the project.
