Abstract
This brief article introduces the issue of the Journal of Clinical Psychology: In Session devoted to crisis, its aftermath, and its psychological treatment. We begin by defining crisis and its probable roles in the psychotherapist's practice. The following seven articles focus on specific guidelines for crisis work with multiple populations. A summary of each article is provided. We close with suggestions for incorporating the wisdom of each article in concrete, meaningful ways. Β© 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
