✦ Synopsis
Darkness waits with bated breath as Fay is consumed by a ruinous hunger called the Blood Curse…
The discovery of the legendary King Arthur seems as realistic as surviving a celebratory toast with volcanic lava as Toby learns he must enlist the support of British royalty to retrieve a powerful legacy of the red dragon or suffer the ravages of all consuming dark magic.
But when a vampiric sect kidnaps his irreplaceable ally Fay with plans for world domination he hastens a flawed rescue plan and rushes towards a perilous cave filled with elements far more than simple shadows.
The young druid knows he must act with speed and without caution for there is little time before a blood plague consumes his treasured ally with all-consuming dark magic and she wreaks the kind of ruin he has no defence against, and on a scale that will devour his magical world and spill into the human domain with devastating consequences.
And yet hope is found deep in a city of stone where daily life is gay and nightlife is filled with terror. And where his archenemy toys with the young druid like a chess master that gambles with his queen with careless abandon.
Time is running out and the world grows darker whilst Toby’s young ally carries the Blood Curse that ticks like a bomb on a short fuse…
About the Author
Ian has been a fan of reading since childhood whilst sharing his bedroom with elves, orcs and the occasional troll, although they were eventually banished due to their questionable habits.
Writing didn't arrive at his fingertips until much later. His first attempt in the late nineties was discarded along with the old computer after his manuscript was stolen by a hobgoblin from its secret hiding place in the sock drawer.
It wasn't until 2010 with the global rise of fantasy-based movies that Ian rediscovered that desire to write.
And so "Toby Fisher and the Arc Light" was born; inspired by everything that is fantasy from King Arthur and Merlin to Tolkien and Harry Potter—a Pandora's box of fantasy.
It was an opportunity to lose himself in a world of imagination whilst his other world of mortgage, tax, and work continued to grind forward.
He promises himself that one day he will live entirely in the world of fantasy, spinning fantastical stories for the pleasure of others.
