Abstract
A new method for the analysis of scattering by a circumferential gap on a conducting circular waveguide is presented. The method, based on the Fourier transform and modeโmatching techniques, yields a rapidlyโconvergent series solution. Numerical results illustrate the effects of gap width and waveguide radius on radiation and scattering. ยฉ 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
