Abstract

A microwave applicator with a waveguide used to launch the energy from the source into the metallic cavity is modelled using 3D‐TLM method. An influence of waveguide position to the resonant modes distribution inside both empty and loaded cavities is analyzed, comparing numerical results with analytical and experimental ones. © Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The FD-TD method was used to model physical chip resistors with the use of the lumped-element concept. Instead of using the con¨entional planar resisti¨e elements approximation, we modeled the substrate on which the resisti¨e element is fabricated as well. Comparing our numerical results with experi
