Abstract
A microwave applicator with a waveguide used to launch the energy from the source into the metallic cavity is modelled using 3D‐TLM method. An influence of waveguide position to the resonant modes distribution inside both empty and loaded cavities is analyzed, comparing numerical results with analytical and experimental ones. © Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
