โœฆ Synopsis


Simultuneous measurements of the time variation of surface charge and dielectric constant of an insulated sample of thernw-electret have been made. The results indicate that the electret phenomenon can perhaps be explained on the hypothesis of the creation of hole-electron pairs in the neighbourhood of oriented dipoles and their subsequent migration to and capture by surface traps.
