✦ Synopsis


Time-selected spectra are obtained by electrical switching of a PMT which detects the light emitted by a pulsed source slaved to a high-resolution FT spectrometer. The technique is illustrated by showing strong enhancement of the B 'x+-X 'B+ molecular La0 emission relative to Ar lines in a composite wall hollow-cathode pulsed discharge.
